Flower Care
1. Trim the Stems
Before you place your Posy in water, trim about 1–2cm off the bottom of the stems at a 45° angle. This helps the flowers drink more efficiently and keeps them happier for longer.
2. Use Fresh, Clean Water
Fill your vase with fresh, room-temperature water and change it every 2–3 days. Clean water prevents bacteria from building up and keeps stems hydrated.
If you’ve got flower food, add it in — it’s a little boost that helps flowers last longer.
3. Keep Them Cool
Place your flowers somewhere cool and out of direct sunlight. Avoid heat sources like heaters, radiators, or ovens — and try not to put them near fresh fruit, which can release ethylene gas and speed up ageing.
4. Remove Foliage Below the Water Line
Any leaves or petals that sit in the water can cause bacteria to grow. Before placing your Posy in a vase, remove foliage that would otherwise sit below the water line.
It’s a small step that makes a big difference.
5. Refresh as Needed
As time goes on, you might notice petals dropping or blooms opening more fully — that’s normal! Simply remove any spent flowers and give the water a refresh to keep the rest looking good.

Quick Tips That Actually Work
Don’t be scared to re-trim stems mid-week — it wakes them up again. Misting petals lightly can give them a little extra life. If your Posy starts to droop, a fresh cut and fresh water sometimes is all it needs.
Expectations
Each Posy is crafted using seasonal blooms, so longevity can vary depending on flower type. Some stems are naturally long-lasting, others are more delicate — and that’s part of the charm.
We always design with durability in mind, but if you ever have questions about care for a specific Posy, we’re here to help — just reach out.
